Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
What does "inherently anti-static" mean?
+
"Inherently anti-static" means that the conductive fiber is firmly integrated into the fabric structure – not applied as a subsequent surface treatment. The anti-static effect is therefore permanent and independent of washes or aging of the garment.
Which cleanroom classes is the AS10 suitable for?
+
The AS10 lab coat is suitable for ISO 7 cleanrooms and all ESD-protected work areas (EPA) according to EN 61340-5-1 / IEC 61340-5-1. For stricter cleanroom classes (ISO 5 and below), we recommend specially tailored cleanroom coveralls.
How is the lab coat washed?
+
The AS10 is machine washable at 60°C – even in commercial washing machines. The polyester-cotton blend fabric remains dimensionally stable after many washes. The ESD protective effect through the woven-in conductive fibers remains permanently intact.
Can the lab coat be embroidered with our company logo?
+
Yes, the AS10 is embroiderable. We offer individual finishing with your company logo, department designation, or names – even for smaller quantities. Contact us for a quote.
What is the difference between the AS10 lab coat and an ESD shirt?
+
+
The AS10 is an overcoat worn over normal clothing, covering it completely. ESD shirts (like AS21 or AS22) are worn directly on the skin. The lab coat offers the advantage that no special ESD undergarment is necessary.
