The Portwest FR417 is the complete multi-standard work trouser made from Bizflame Work+ fabric (99% cotton, 1% carbon fibre, 280 g/m²). Flame retardant EN ISO 11612, arc flash protection ELIM 12 cal/cm², chemical protection EN 13034 Type 6, anti-static EN 1149-5, welding protection EN ISO 11611 Class 2 – completely metal-free and ATEX-compatible. Available in Royal Blue, Grey, and Navy.

Bizflame Work+ – 99% Cotton
Bizflame Work+ fabric (99% cotton, 1% carbon fibre, 280 g/m²) offers the comfort of pure cotton with inherent flame protection and lasting anti-static properties. EN ISO 11612 A1+A2, B1, C1, F1 – no wash-out effect.
ELIM 12 cal/cm² – Arc Flash Protection
IEC 61482-1-1 ELIM 12 cal/cm² and ATPV 14 cal/cm², as well as APC Class 1 according to IEC 61482-1-2 – reliable arc flash protection for electricians, utility providers, and industrial electrical installations.
EN 13034 Type 6 – Chemical Protection
Limited splash protection against liquid chemicals according to EN 13034 Type 6 – combined with flame protection, ideal for petrochemical plants, laboratory areas, cleaning work, and the chemical industry.
100% Metal-Free – ATEX & MRI-Compatible
Completely metal-free – no nickel, no iron. The trousers are suitable for hospitals (MRI environments), electronics manufacturing, ATEX explosion zones, and airports. The carbon fibre provides anti-static properties without metallic components.
Extendable Leg Length 31" – 33"
The extendable leg length (31" to 33") allows for individual adjustment to various body sizes – without the need for alterations. The ergonomic cut ensures greater freedom of movement when kneeling and performing standing tasks.
EN ISO 11611 Class 2 – Welding Protection
Class 2 A1+A2 according to EN ISO 11611 is the highest protection class for welding protection – for demanding welding work with high intensity and intense spark generation. Combined with EN 17353 Type B2 enhanced visibility through flame-retardant reflective tapes.

The FR417 Bizflame FR Work Trousers have been specially developed for high-risk environments and offer comprehensive protection against heat, flames, welding spatters, chemical splashes, and electric arcs. These professional multi-standard work trousers are ideal for industry, energy supply, welding technology, petrochemicals, and technical maintenance areas.
The robust Bizflame Work+ fabric, made from cotton with integrated carbon fibre, combines high wearing comfort with a durable protective function. The anti-static properties reduce electrostatic discharges, while the flame-retardant finish ensures consistently reliable protection in everyday work.
Of particular note is the integrated arc flash protection according to IEC 61482-2, which makes the trousers ideal for electrical work areas. In addition, the trousers meet the requirements for chemical protection according to EN 13034 Type 6 and welding protection according to EN ISO 11611 Class 2.
