Harshest Operating Conditions

Bizflame Plus – lifelong flame protection

The Bizflame Plus fabric (99% cotton, 1% carbon fiber, 350 g/m²) offers inherent flame protection according to EN ISO 11612 A1+A2, B1, C1, E2, F1 – guaranteed flame retardant for life, no wash-out effect, no degradation through wear.

Dual certified – EU and US

Unique in the range: the FR50 is certified according to European EN standards (IEC 61482-1-2 APC 1) AND US American standards (ASTM F1959/F1959M-12). This makes it the choice for internationally active companies and offshore operations.

Triple seams & flame-retardant reflective stripes

All stressed areas are triple-stitched – maximum tear resistance. The reflective stripes on shoulders, arms and legs are sewn on and suitable for industrial washing – and themselves flame-retardant. No weak link in the protective equipment.

10 pockets with kneepad pockets

10 functional pockets for ample storage – including 2 slanted chest pockets with concealed brass zippers, rule pocket, 2 back pockets, kneepad pockets with height adjustment for 2 positions, and a radio loop.

UPF 40+ & OEKO-TEX

The Bizflame Plus fabric blocks 98% of UV radiation (UPF 40+) – ideal for outdoor use in sunlight. OEKO-TEX certification confirms that all materials are tested for harmful substances and are harmless to health.

Elastic back pleat & 7 colors

The elastic back pleat allows unrestricted freedom of movement when bending, kneeling, and stretching. Concealed 2-way brass zipper for quick donning and doffing. Available in 7 colors from XS to 6XL – the widest size range in the assortment.

Material &
Specification

The FR50 Flame Retardant Antistatic Coverall was developed for professional use in high-risk environments and combines reliable flame, heat, antistatic, and arc flash protection in a robust protective coverall. Ideal for industry, energy supply, maintenance, welding technology, and technical outdoor operations.

The high-quality flame-retardant fabric offers lasting protection against heat and flames, while integrated antistatic fibers safely dissipate electrostatic discharges. Additionally, the coverall protects against thermal hazards of an electric arc flash and meets important international safety standards for professional protective clothing.

The ergonomic fit ensures high wearing comfort and freedom of movement in everyday work. A concealed front zipper further protects against sparks and heat exposure. Several functional pockets offer ample storage space for tools and work utensils.

The robust construction with durable seams makes the FR50 a long-lasting solution for daily use in demanding conditions.

Why the FR50
is the right choice

The only coverall in the range that is simultaneously certified according to EU and US standards – with lifelong inherent flame protection, 10 pockets, triple stitching, and the widest size range from XS to 6XL.

EU and US double certified – ASTM F1959 + EU standards. The FR50 is the choice for internationally operating companies and offshore projects that need to meet both standards.
Lifelong flame protection guaranteed – Bizflame Plus has inherent flame protection. No deterioration due to washing or wearing – permanently safe for the entire service life.
Flame-retardant reflective strips on shoulders, arms, and legs – no weak link. The reflective bands are self-extinguishing and suitable for industrial laundering.
XS to 6XL – 7 colors – the widest range of sizes in the assortment. No employee has to do without their coverall, even with unusual body sizes.

FAQ

What does "lifelong flame retardant guaranteed" mean?
Bizflame Plus has inherent flame protection – the flame-retardant properties are embedded in the cotton and carbon fiber, not applied through a chemical treatment. Applied flame-retardant finishes become weaker through washing, friction, and heat. Inherent flame protection cannot be washed away and does not diminish – it is active for the entire lifespan of the coverall. This is the meaning of the guarantee.
What is ASTM F1959 and why is US certification important?
ASTM F1959 is the US standard for measuring the Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) – comparable to the ELIM/ATPV in Europe. The FR50 is certified according to both IEC 61482 (EU) and ASTM F1959 (USA). This is important for companies operating in international projects – such as offshore projects in the North Sea operated by US companies that must meet OSHA standards.
What are height-adjustable knee pad pockets?
The knee pad pockets of the FR50 can be adjusted in two different positions – a higher and a lower position. This allows for individual adaptation to the wearer's body size and working position. Knee pads are sold separately and can be inserted and removed as needed. This feature is particularly important for activities that involve a lot of kneeling.
Why are the reflective strips self-extinguishing?
With non-flame retardant reflective strips, there is a risk that the strips will melt, burn, or drip in the event of a fire – which can worsen burn injuries. The FR50 uses exclusively flame-retardant reflective bands that are certified according to the same flame protection standards as the coverall itself. This means there is no weak link in the protective equipment.
Is the FR50 suitable for industrial laundering?
Yes – the Bizflame Plus fabric is suitable for industrial laundering. This is an important advantage for businesses with central laundries that wash multiple coveralls simultaneously at higher temperatures and with professional cleaning agents. The inherent flame protection and carbon fiber antistatic properties remain fully effective even after industrial washes – do not use fabric softeners.
Are bulk discounts and company embroidery possible?
Yes. For orders of 10 pieces or more, we offer tiered quantity discounts. Company embroidery is also available on request – the FR50, with its 7 available colors, is ideal as uniform company clothing. Contact us directly.
